Printing Fashion Festival #5 edition
Printing Fashion returned with its #5th edition held on Wednesday 29th and Thursday 30th of March. The Festival created a space for discussing the trajectory and evolution of printed media and the fashion of printed publication today, featuring key contributors in the field.
Through debates, lectures and conversations, the focus of this yearâs dialogue is around the concept of âResistanceâ by reflecting on the practices of criticism as resistance, the relationship between print and politics, the hidden figures of the magazine, printing and gender, and the resilient formats that confront the new challenges of the publishing industry. We invited contributors to delve in the analysis and debate about these practices of resistance through printed media. This dialogue was held with collaborators such as Byronesque, Cora CorrĂ© (The Vivienne Foundation), Astrid Vorstermans (Valiz Publisher), Reading Room, Yousra Zein (Vogue France), Jeppe Ugelvig (Viscose), Alessandro Merlo (Coriandoli), Tayeau Fabrice (Feu Magazine), Simone Rossi (IUAV University of Venice), Saul Marcadent (IUAV University of Venice), Hanka van der Voet (Press & Fold), Elise By Olsen & Else Thorenfeldt (International Library of Fashion Research), Carla FernĂĄndez, The American Library in Paris, Diktats, among many others.
