Parsons Paris & The New School Annual Alumni Cocktail

The annual alumni cocktail at Le Georges Paris on November 15, 2023, was an incredible reminder of how diverse, vibrant, and talented our alumni are. Together, we celebrated the recent achievements of some members of our community, expressed gratitude to those who have contributed to the growth of our current students, and launched our very first alumni magazine, Later.

The evening was hosted by Virginie Grillet (Director of Career Development & Internships + Alumni Engagement, Parsons Paris) and organized by Anthea Hill (Career Development & Internships Coordinator). It was an honor to have Florence Leclerc-Dickler (Dean, Parsons Paris) in attendance. Additionally, we were joined by the wonderful Alex Tapnio (Assistant Vice President, Alumni Engagement and Annual Giving Programs, The New School) all the way from New York. This event was made possible by The New School Office of Alumni Engagement.

A big thank you to everyone who attended!

Camila Abisambra is a 2017 Fashion Studies graduate from Parsons, NY, with a semester at Parsons Paris. Since relocating to Paris, she has been a dedicated and active member of the Parsons Paris alumni community. Known for her strong work ethic and passion for networking and professional development, Camila has actively participated in our alumni mentoring program, attended alumni talks, and been a consistent presence at nearly all of our events. She played a crucial role in brainstorming initiatives for the development and growth of our alumni community. Camila, a trilingual Colombian creative producer and agent at ARTISTRY, is a staunch advocate for inclusion, diversity, and pushing the boundaries of the fashion industry.

To express our gratitude to Camila, BYREDO (a new partner of Parsons Paris!) generously gifted a beautiful, limited edition, wooden makeup box (complete with makeup, of course!). A heartfelt thank you also goes to Manon Soenen and Asmae Bouhafs for joining us to present this incredible award and celebrate the occasion.

Azul Diaz is an effervescent human being and has been an invaluable member of our community since moving to Paris from New York to work at L’Oréal. A trilingual genius, Azul graduated from the Integrated Design and Global Studies program at Parsons, NY. They have actively participated in our mentoring program and have been a staunch and outspoken supporter of alumni engagement initiatives. Always enthusiastic and generous in sharing information with our students through alumni talks, Azul is passionate about well-being and sustainability. In true New School fashion, they are a dynamic disruptor in their field.

As token of our appreciation for Azul, we presented him with a full-day spa voucher Molitor Spa!

Nicolette Kabitsis is a Parsons Paris graduate from the MA program in History of Design and Curatorial Studies, Class of 2020. A trilingual powerhouse, Nicolette is known for her generosity, warmth, and proactive engagement as an alumni member. She has been dedicated from the beginning, actively participating in the mentoring program, contributing to alumni talks, speaking in classrooms with our Strategic Design & Management students, attending various events, and generously sharing numerous internship opportunities. Nicolette currently serves as the Social Media Manager and Creative Strategist at BIKIBIKI.

To thank Nicolette, Repetto gifted her a pair of BALLERINES CENDRILLON!

Léa Germano was the fortunate winner of our raffle draw for the My Little Box, a charming advent calendar from My Little Paris. Léa is an inspiring alumni member and co-founder of Studio Paillette, a PR/rental platform for creative brands. She consistently shares her energy and ideas with our community, and her presence is a constant at our events and initiatives. Congratulations, Léa!
