Meet Dimitri Ghohari – Parsons Paris Technician

Q: What do you do at Parsons Paris?
A: I’m a technician at Parsons. I wear several hats. Firstly, I’m at the service of the students, answering all the technical questions and requests for materials that the students ask me for their creations and creations. Secondly, I look after the maintenance of the two buildings, Saint-Roch and Romainville.
And lastly, I also help the teachers with their various needs.

Q: How long have you worked at Parsons Paris?
A: I’ve been with the team for almost a year and a half.

Q: What is your nationality?
A: I’ve been living in Paris for over 33 years.

Q: How long have you lived in Paris?
A: I obtained French nationality when I was 8 years old and I’m of Iranian-Russian origin.

Q: What is your favourite thing about the city?
A: Paris is and will remain the city of light. What I love about Paris is that there is always something to do, something to see, somewhere to go.

Q: Name one of your favourite places to eat near campus.

Le Bouillon Chartier:

(The legendary Parisian bouillon that still retains its original soul)

Le Louchebem:

(Restaurant for those who really love meat)

Chamroeun Crimée:

(For me the best Asian restaurant in Paris)

Q: What is your favourite arrondissement and why?
A: I’ve always preferred the north of Paris, in the 19th and 20th arrondissements, because they’re popular places, full of life and multiculturalism.

Q: What is your favourite cultural venue in Paris?
A: Ever since I was a child, I’ve had a great affection for the CitĂ© des Sciences et de l’Industrie. It’s a cultural centre dedicated to science and innovation. There are exhibitions of popular science on a wide range of subjects.

Q: Who is your favourite musician or band? What is your favourite album? (It can be in French, but it doesn’t have to be!)
A: I don’t really have a favourite album, but I listen to a lot of French pop from the 80s and 90s.

Q: What is your favourite activity in Paris?
A: As soon as the fine weather arrives, one of my favourite things to do in Paris is to wander around the capital’s markets and flea markets, looking for little gems at bargain prices.

Q: Do you have a tip, advice, or a secret place to share with new visitors to the city?
A: If there are places to visit in Paris, I’d start with the grotto in the Parc des Buttes-Chaumont in the 19th arrondissement.

A: Of course, when the weather’s fine, you can take a long walk in the Montmartre district to discover this magnificent village in the heart of Paris.
