Parsons Paris

Meet Laetitia Daluz – Student Life Director

Q: What do you do at Parsons Paris?
A: I’m the Student Life Director.

Q: How long have you worked at Parsons Paris?
A: Almost 3 years now!

Q: What is your nationality?
A: French.

Q: How long have you lived in Paris?
A: All my life; I was born in Sarcelles, a suburb of Paris.

Q: What is your favorite thing about this city?
A: Everything is nice when it’s sunny, but I love to be able to travel around the world without moving from Paris, eating nice Ramen close to the campus, listening to Samba music in the 19th, and dancing salsa in Bastille.

Q: Name one of your favorite places to eat close to campus.
A: As I usually eat in the office, I like to have different takeaway options. We are lucky there are a lot, like Bravo Pasta, Spok, Maison Toto for the grilled cheese, Bean for Bobun, and Boulangerie Joseph for sandwiches and hotdogs.

Q: What is your favorite arrondissement and why?
A: I would say the 19th because I just moved there. You have the canal, Buttes Chaumont Park, a lot of bars, restaurants, and a not-too-posh nightlife.

Q: Name one of your favorite cultural spots in Paris.
A: MusĂ©e du Quai Branly (even though it’s on the other side of the world).

Q: Who is your favorite musician/band? Favorite album?
A: Michael Jackson – “Off the Wall.”

Q: What is your favorite activity to do in Paris?
A: Going out dancing to different kinds of parties like La Creole, La Mona, and Roda de Samba.

Q: Do you have a secret tip/advice/spot to share with new visitors to the city?
A: Stay in the north / Rive droite (right bank). Once you’ve done all the touristy things in Rive Gauche (left bank), you can really enjoy Paris’s fun and real stuff.

Q: If you have anything you would like to share, please feel free below…
A: Thank you, Student Life – you are the best team ever!
