New Student Orientation Week
The week of August 23rd welcomed around 120 First Year, mobility, visiting, and first year Graduate students to Parsons Paris for a variety of events scheduled for their Orientation Week. The week started off on Monday for their move-in day. Parsons Paris Student Life team helped 40 students to their housing in La Defense and in the 15th arrondissement.
On Tuesday, students were invited to Le MusĂ©e d’Art et d’Histoire du JudaĂŻsme for a morning social hour with croissants and juice, followed by a welcome message from the Dean, Florence Leclerc-Dickler. The rest of the morning and afternoon was filled with presentations introducing the Student Life team, Program Coordinators, Advisors, and a special guest visit from Parsons Paris Alumnae, Yara Hanna with loads of information on what to expect from their first semester and year ahead at Parsons Paris.Â
The following Wednesday and Thursday, students met at Parson’s rue Saint Roch campus for several seminars on Professional Development and Etiquette, Electronic Learning Portfolio, Technology, and an Intercultural Workshop.
To wrap up the day, lunch and a prize-filled round of Bingo was hosted on La Balle au Bond, a boat docked on the Seine overlooking Le Louvre.
To close the week, students were invited for a field trip to Versailles on Friday! Greeted with beautiful weather, Parsons Paris students strolled the gardens and rented rowboats in the canal.
