Printing Fashion Festival
On Monday, March 25 and Tuesday, March 26, 2019, the MA Fashion Studies department will launch the first edition of the “Printing Fashion” festival in collaboration with the FRAC Ile-de-France Le Plateau.For the first time in Paris, “Printing Fashion” will create an independent space for discussion for practitioners, critics, academics to explore the contemporary role and value of fashion media via the specific lens of printed publications.
The festival will feature different roundtable discussions, including the rise of economic and cultural value of historical and contemporary print fashion publications, the relationship between digital and printed media, the magazine as a curatorial project, and the issue of representability and national discourse in fashion magazines.
KD Presse will host a pop-up store at the festival where a selection of its publications will be presented.
