Career Services: Recap of PFW Internships in Fall 2019

During the last week of September, Paris hosted Fashion Week and many students took advantage of the many amazing internship opportunities. We were able to gather some statistics of the students’ experiences:

  • 70 students participated in internships (Elie Saab, Alessandra Rich, Atlein, Gabriela Hearst, Jonathan Cohen, Joseph, Malone Souliers, Oscar de la Renta, TIBI, Zimmermann, etc.)
  • Students worked with runway and press photography, showrooms, and backstage of shows
  • Duration of the internship = 4 -5 days 
  • Average Compensation = 15 euros/day

French is sometimes not required for students; all of the internships for Parsons students were in English. Every student can apply and for some of our students, this was their first time having an internship. All of our students were able to balance school work and their internship. We highly recommend applying for a Paris Fashion Week internship; you’ll gain amazing experience and it’s a great resume booster!
