If you’ve visited or lived in New York City, you’ve likely taken a ride on the subway. For all of its quirks and infamous glory, the typography, terra-cotta mosaics, faiences, and tile patterns often go unnoticed.
This is your opportunity to learn about the subway’s long-forgotten craftspeople. Hopefully, it can also remind New Yorker and visitor alike that there is beauty all around us.
