Global Studies Coffee Hours – Fall 2020

Global Studies alum Maren Hurley (’18) joined us for our first Global Studies Coffee Hour for Fall 2020 on September 23.

Maren Hurley is a professional multi-hyphenate working to build community and enact change through story-telling, systems re-imagining, and strategic planning. Her rich background includes working as a youth advocate, a group facilitator in the New York City jails, an abortion doula, a member of a non-profit board, a community organizer, and most recently, as a freelance content creator and business development consultant.

As a consultant, Maren helps small businesses grow at scale through design management, clarity of messaging, marketing strategy, and operations build out. Her most recent professional project is producing the new podcast Rock Your Brain Rock Your Life

Maren lives in Asheville, North Carolina, with two dogs and a bicycle. She is currently learning to play the banjo and hoping for a COVID-19 vaccine.
