DEMOCRACY IN DARK TIMES: Panel open to the public

A panel discussion on the promise and perils for democracy as seen from the various locations and perspectives of our Democracy Seminar 2.0 participants on Saturday, October 5th  2:00 PM – 4:00 PM (The Bob and Sheila Hoerle Lecture Hall, University Center, UL105, 63 Fifth Avenue)

After two days of critical deliberations on the troubling world-wide drift towards de-democratization, and on ways of addressing it and dealing with it, the Democracy Seminar 2.0 inaugural meeting invites the public to join the conversation. The discussions will be informed by our panelists’ reflections on developments in the places they know best: the Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland, Romania, Slovakia, Turkey, and the United States.
