COVID-19 and Eastern Europe: Reflections from Decolonizing Eastern European Studies Group Members at The New School

The essays, and accompanying videos, were originally published on the DEES group page.

In Spring 2020, DEES members produced a series of video essays critically examining how states and societies in Eastern Europe have responded to, and thought about, the spread of the SARS-CoV-2 virus and the disease it causes in humans, COVID-19. Each essay draws on long-term, direct engagement with people in the region and with scholarship written in the languages of the region.

We hope you enjoy these essays and we look forward to your comments!
